Nikki’s Foxes is a gentle, nature-based children’s grief and wellbeing group created to help children feel safe, seen, and supported through difficult emotions and experiences of loss. Through play, creativity, connection, and the healing power of nature, children are given space to express themselves in ways that feel natural and manageable for them.
Sessions are carefully designed to support emotional regulation, nervous system healing, confidence, and connection. Children might build shelters in the woods, drum the names of loved ones around the fire, create journey sticks from found treasures, practise calming mindfulness activities, explore storytelling, movement, art, or simply laugh and play together outdoors.
At Nikki’s Foxes, we play together, talk together, meditate together, explore nature together, share mindful moments, play music, create art, and have lots of fun whilst gently supporting one another. We believe healing happens through connection, safety, creativity, and being part of a caring community where children know they are not alone in how they feel.
We understand that grief in children does not always look like sadness. It can appear in behaviour, anxiety, overwhelm, anger, withdrawal, or a need for extra connection and reassurance. Our approach is gentle, nurturing, trauma-aware, and child-led, allowing children to process emotions at their own pace without pressure or expectation.
Rooted in compassion, belonging, and love, Nikki’s Foxes offers a calm and supportive space where children can reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them.
